4. Square of Call and Torre dels Jueus

The existence of a small square, called Plaça del Call, in the first Jewish quarter, indicates there was an extension of the street towards its natural exit on the east side of town, towards the areas used for producing fodder for farm animals and the vegetable gardens, next to the 14th-century wall.
The proximity of one of the wall's towers led to it being known as the Torre dels Jueus, or Jews' Tower, and it became a point of reference for works on the wall. It might have provided a good lookout point for overseeing the Jewish cemetery.
